20 Minute Sweet Garlic Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger 2 tsp dry powder
  • 1 tsp corn starch
  • 1 lb medium uncooked shrimp peeled & deveined
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • Chopped green onion for garnish
  • 1/2 lb baby sweet peas
  • 1 Cup dry rice

Instructions

  1. Whisk the honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch in a medium bowl.
  2. Add cleaned shrimp and set to marinade while you prepare the rice as per its intrusions.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Place shrimp and the baby sweet peas in the skillet.
  4. Cook until the shrimp has turned pink and the sauce starts to thicken. Do not overcook, once the shrimp is completely pink it will become chewy if cooked longer.
  5. Serve over the rice and top with the green onions.
  6. Enjoy!
