Granola bars and other replacement bars are a great snack and an easy way to keep your diet on track when you are on the go. But they can get expensive and hard to keep on hand. Instead of running to the store to get yet another box of 5 granola bars make these homemade fruit and nut snack bars. Now you know exactly whats in your snack, you saved money, can show off your fancy homemade bars, and have a healthy delicious snack!

3 Ingredient Homemade Snack Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 cup nuts almonds, cashews, walnuts, pecans or a mix
  • 3/4 cup pitted medjool dates
  • 3/4 cup other dried fruit cranberries, cherries, raisins, figs or your favorite
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare an 8 in baking dish lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a food processor pulse the nuts until they formed large crumbs.
  3. While the food processor is on add the dates and other dried fruit.
  4. Process until you have a mixture that sticks together when you press it between your fingers about 30 seconds.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan pressing it firmly to the bottom.
  6. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour before cutting into bars.
  7. Store the bars in the refrigerator for up to a few weeks or in the freezer for a few months.

After cutting you can individually wrap them in plastic wrap and bring them with you!
